My laptop battery gave up the ghost ages ago - it's a zombie battery now. If the adapter comes out for more than five minutes, the battery goes critical and the laptop shuts itself down in "preserve me!" mode. The sad thing is that I have a NEW battery floating around in my garage, but I have no clue what box I put it in for the move. The even sadder thing is that we moved here a year ago.

The battery on my laptop lasts for exactly 2 minuets from full charge to completely dead. It's always plugged in now.
