Well, this afternoon I set a full incubator of eggs. When I set my eggs the incubator was ranging in temp of 99.4-99.6. Well, after I set the eggs I went and checked on the temp about 3 hours later and the temp decreased down to 86.5. What could have caused such a decrease. When I took the top off the incubator to set the eggs I did not touch any settings whatsoever. I just went back out there, this was about an hour after I saw the temp go down to 86.5 and the temp was at 96.5. So at least the temp is increasing again. But what the heck could have caused such a decrease when I didn't touch or do anything but put eggs in. Has anyone else ever seen this happen to them. I've had this incubator on for about 4 or 5 days. And the temp has been stable for the last 3 days. Any incite as to why things went haywire would appreciate it. I'm not to worried about it since I just set the eggs. BTW, I have a hovabator if that helps anyone.

THanks

just leave it alone, the temp has to bring the eggs up to temp too so it takes much longer to get back up to operating temp. I would not worry about it until tomorrow AM

The eggs are cool and their thermal mass brings the temp in the incubator down. It takes several hours to come up to temp, but that's completely normal and not a problem.
