Why won't my chickens eat food scraps?

Mine are 4 weeks and I haven't given them much besides chick crumble and their bowl of chick grit. I do sprinkle some raw rolled oats in occasionally and yesterday gave them an ear of raw corn. They didn't seem interested in the corn but the next morning it was picked clean. I have a mango will have to give them the seed and see what they do. Today I will start tossing some creeping Charlie in as it is actually a type of mint even though it is a nasty weed. They are still in the brooder box until hopefully their coop and run will be done this week.

Mine were slow to try new things except broccoli. Now they are nearing 6 months old and I've noticed when I give them something they've never had, they tend to ignore it. But if I keep giving it to them, one or two are brave enough to finally try it and then the others try it and then they love it! I just tried banana the other day on the treat tray and it got ignored so I'll give put it on there a few more times and I'm sure they will take a liking to it once the strangeness wears off.

I have feed my chickens chopped up pieces of carrots, leaves of weeds and plants, chopped up pieces of noodles, etc. But it seems that the only things my 5 week chickens eat is grass and their store bought feed. I have supplied them "grit" in the form of small stones from the road/sidewalk. I thought that chickens could eat practically everything? So what can they actually eat? Oh, and another question, I've heard that chickens can eat yogurt, how do you feed them it?
I had some extra stuff from a cheese plate for a party that was starting to go (over ripe grapes, stale bread, and a little bit of brie) and put it out this afternoon. It was like I starved them. That plate disappeared in like 20 seconds lol. I think sometimes it is all about how you present it (like with people). I had it on a paper plate and ate a grape in front of them going "mmmmm" while they watched. As far as "grit" goes, as long as they are digging around in the dirt, they should be eating it naturally.

My 9 week old pullets love the celery leaf tops, watermelon, grapes, cauliflower, brocali, lettuce, spring mix, hard boiled eggs, live meal worms...I cut up whatever is on the way out from my crisper and spoil them with the worms....looks like Morticia from the Adams Family salad.... they didn't like carrots. They chased their first mouse today. They are new to the outside run so no free ranging yet.
