Why won't my Muscovies leave their nest boxes?

How old are your ducks? How many nest boxes do you have? How many males and females do you have?

My ducks are about six months,i have two nesting boxes, and one male and one female

I don't have call ducks, but my Muscovy girls didn't start laying till about 6 months old. However, considering how many eggs I was getting only 2 or 3 out of my 7 girls were even laying. After the cold temps hit egg production stopped, started again, and now I haven't seen an egg for a month.

So they will most likely start when it gets warm

If the weather consistently stays warm. The major up and down temps interrupt the laying cycle.

Yep, same here from way up North. My duck hasn't laid an egg yet. Hasn't since last fall. We've had really wonky weather also. Makes me feel better that she's OK.
