Why would chicken poo smell really bad?

We rescued a couple of ex battery girls and we have 3 indoors as they have no feathers and it’s cold out but they really stink. I’ve had chickens indoors before and it never stank like this.
The poo looks normal, the hens look ok apart from missing feathers and cuts from being bullied previously.
I plan to worm them but wondering if anyone has any thoughts or ideas as to what could be going on so I know what to look for.
They’re eating layers pellets only.

I would worm them with. Valbazen 1/2 ml given once orally, and then repeat that in 10 days. Also get some Probios or the generic powder from your feed store, and those will probide probiotics. Plain Greek yogurt 1 ounce will also provide some in a lesser amount. Cecal poops will smell worse than usual poops, and if there is a bacterial infection, those might smell bad as well. Hopefully, the probiotics and worming will help.
