I built a flight pen 20x40 i was going to put some coturnix quial in there but from what i have read it sounds like most people keep them in smaller pens why is that ? (breeding maybe) i just bought 48 eggs from luvmychix for only 15.00 i have never raised anything but chicken and have my first batch (chickens) in the bator and on day 17 cant wait then start on my quial eggs. thanks

People keep them in smaller pens because they don't need that much room! With a pen the size of yours, you will have very happy quail!! That pen is big enough for a couple hundred easy!!

They will certainly love a pen that big. That would be perfect for Chukar partridge! I don't know if you can mix the pheasants with the coturnix or not... the pheasant we had were mean, so I'd probably go with separate. I love my coturnix.

Where in Utah are you... I'll come hunting there when you let them loose!
