Why does my DH have to spend 3 hours flipping through the channels? Why can't he find ONE thing to watch on tv, instead of trying to watch a little of everything. Ever wonder why I spend so much time on here? Now you know!

I have not seen a complete commercial in....well, I was gonna say 27 years (which is how long I've been married)...but we didn't have a remote back then, and we only got 3 channels. So I haven't seen a commercial in about 15 years.
God forbid I walk off with the remote, or put it down out of his reach...because if a show goes to commercial and he doesn't have the remote within reach (you KNOW he's not getting off his butt)...he starts howling.
"Well, honey, I'd love to help you but I'm ON THE TOILET right now (as if you couldn't see that since we never shut bathroom doors in our house) so you're going to have to deal with it yourself"

DHs best friend finally talked him into a DVR for our Direct TV. DH was quick with mute before for the commercial, but now he gets to record ALL the shows he likes (so little flipping now since he can watch everything he likes on his own time) AND he gets to fast forward through the commercials! If I didn't know any better, I'd swear he was a kid in a candy store!

Mine picks one show, then on a commercial finds another one and proceeds to flip back and forth on commercials. Makes me crazy!!!
Get a second remote control....
