I have a silke roo that drops his head quite often and looks like he struggles to straighten it out. He also"struts left to right instead of back and forth with his head (which is why his name is Elvis) He has always done this but why???

Hmm, I'm no good at identifying illnesses but I'd guess that it's Merek's disease.

Really he was born this way and he is over a year old

In that case, it might be a defect.

I think silkie are more prone neurological problems due to the vaulted skull. This could be his problem since he had this since he was hatched. Just a guess

He gets along fine even hard to catch runs well eats ok and very friendly although he thinks that he is as big as any other roo.

Hey, I was wondering...

I thought I read somewhere that people suggest carefully trimming the feathers around their eyes so they can see better??? maybe its just he cant see good thru his feathers?
