Wierdo Egg

I got an egg this evening that was considerably larger than what I've been getting from my newly laying hens. When I went to pick it up I realized it was soft. Kind of like a water balloon. Anyway, I brought it inside, showed it to DH, and then out of curiosity I gently sliced it open to see if it was normal on the inside. What was in there, however, was another egg! (Also soft shelled, but I would expect that since it wasn't exposed to air) Has anyone else here ever had one like that?

Yep, you might have a layer who's just starting...
I had one that had half a shell on one side, membrane on the other and a smaller one exactly like it on the inside.

Thanks. I'd heard of getting eggs with just the membrane, but that other egg inside was a shocker! Never dull,eh?
