Wife’s chicken was attacked by neighbors dog!?!?

Unfortunately she has taken a turn for the worse the tissue all around it is turning white and starting to smell, she is not getting blood flow to the area. I hate it so bad but I think I am going to have to put her down. In that is the dislocation the most human way ?
Do you have a picture? It sounds like wound infection or necrosis. A vet would be best. If you feel you should put her down, cervical dislocation/broomstick method is common, and I have severed the jugular veins in the neck in a few chickens. Your vet can assist with euthanasia as well. So sorry that she is doing much worse.

can you show us a picture of what it looks like now?
i hope that she gets better; if she doesn't recover i hope your wife will have peace of mind, and know that she did what she could to help preserve this hens life:hugs😢. hope the hen makes a drastic change for the better.
Yes I will post a pic tomorrow it looks pretty bad.. and has white slimy stuff coming from vent..

Couldn’t get a pic , got worse overnight so I had to put her down this morning unfortunately, I shoot deer, pheasant, quail all around hunter but it was hard to do this to a pet.. guess I am getting soft in my old age.. but she is not suffering anymore and it was quick, painless and humane. Hate it..
