I lost 5 of my hens this year b/c of foxes. They were all the friendliest ones in my flock. I am afraid they will start going for my hen houses and pheasant pens.

my guineas chase feral cats and alert to hawks

my head male used to charge my 200lb wolf and not back down (still got the male but my wolf passed away)

so yea they can protect chickens all the cats in the area know to stay wayyyy back now lol

I have perfected a trap that is 5' X 2' X 2' that will catch domestic/wild animals. I have a picture of a large Shepherd which I caught in my chicken pen. I have caught possums, coons, dogs and cats in my trap.
If you want a picture of it, I will send it to you.
I will have instructions on how to build this pen soon.
Fred

Our guineas have alerted me to danger many times. They are very valuable! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I tend to like the Royal Purple and Lavender and White best. Those are just my personal favorites. A lot of people here and on eggbid sell hatching eggs.

I actually saw a gang of my guineas run off a juvenile hawk this week. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it. They harassed the thing until it finally left.

Psst: and someone has guinea eggs for sale in the auction sections. I want them, but I'm about to stuff my bator full of goose eggs.

Those are all the ones I thought would probably look the prettiest too but I've only seen the French guinea in person. Soccer mom- I couldn't find those hatching eggs on here maybe it was over before I looked. If I raise them and hatch them with chickens and keep them with them would they be okay together? or will they pick on the chickens?
