Wild baby bunny rescued from cat, how should I care for it?

There is no telling what happened. It could have had an injury you didn't see. It is a good idea to contact a wildlife center now in case you have this issue again. Even if they are too far away and even if they are overwhelmed (which happens) they will often give you good advice on how care for the orphan (whatever it may be) yourself. I successfully fed and cared for any number of baby birds by following the advice given to me by the wildlife center. Sometimes it isn't easy to find them but if you persist you can be successful. I am sorry about your loss. You did what you could and that is all anyone can do.
