Wild baby bunnys

If you know where the nest is, put it back. If you don't know where it is, call a wildlife rescue group. If you don't know of any local groups, call your local humane society, your vet or the local zoo. They won't normally take the baby, but they can usually tell you who to call. Unfortunately, around here they seem to call me.

If I knew where it's nest was I would definitely put it back.

I had absolutely no idea where the nest was. We live in a field where the possibilities are limitless. I figured that little rabbit's best chance was with me. I was right. Several weeks later, it was released back into the wild, healthy and I hope happy to have been given a second chance.

My neighbors who always want to keep them said that one batch of babies had their nest attacked by a dog and knew FOR SURE that the mom didn't come back. And another time a neighbor didn't want the nest in the backyard so they gave the babies to them too. Hey! Mama bunny just wants a safe place to raise a family! If someone didnt want your kids next door would you want them to move them? I think not!..
