I realize this is not a chicken and maybe there is a better place to post this - just tell me and I will move it!
Hubby found this little one mowing the lawn and I have no idea what to do with it. It is old enough to flutter and hop around but not really fly. It semi tries to grab on to my finger to sit on it like a branch but tumbles off.

Any advice on what to feed it or do with it?!

Looks like a fledgling sparrow. Usually the parents are still around and will feed it until it can fly, but now you may have to hand feed it yourselves. You can buy a powder mix for baby birds at most pet stores and mix some crushed earthworms in with it, or find a wildlife rehabber who will take it. Most of them don't want to bother with baby birds in the spring though because they are inundated with so many other kinds of babies. Good luck with it. I hand raised a baby robin once until I could release it.

What i've done before with babies about that age is set it back in the area it was found, if it's safe to. Then hide and watch(from the house or shed). Sometimes the parents will return and take care of it, but if after a couple hours it's still there with no parents around then take it back inside. You can get baby bird formula at most pet stores.
The recipe I use for wild baby birds is this

* 1 can dog food (or 2 cups of dry dog food soaked and mashed can be used in place of the canned food.)
* 1/2 cup poulty mash (the poultry mash is important as it provides calcium and other essential vitamins)
* 1/4 cup applesauce(I find the baby food applesauce works best)
* 1 Tablespoon finely chopped hardboiled egg

Puree it and feed via syringe, or if its a bit thick you may be able to feed it off your finger tip.
