Wild chicken: Missing identity. Help please?

Driving home from school one day, I noticed a small chick in the middle of the road. I assumed it broke its foot or something because It was acting "drunk". Anyways, I picked it up and brought it home, and nursed it back to health [it was just really weak, thats all.] I took it to my aunty's house hoping she could tell me the gender [I can't keep it if it's a rooster] but she just looked at It and said she'd never seen anything like it, and asked if i was sure if it was a chicken, as it can really fly quite well, and has dark legs.

So, I turned to good old Google, but couldn't find much except a picture of a Penedesenca type chicken, which it looked similar to.

Chickens run wild here in Maui, and there's probably 50 running around our school, so there's no way in telling who are the parents.

Can anyone help me in identifying this chick?

Sorry I don't know what breed your baby is, but he/she is gorgeous! I love the pattern on its wing feathers.

It probably is a mixed breed, but it sure looks like a brown leghorn.

It sure looks like a mixed breed of wild island fowl and a domestic chicken. Post another pic of the baby in about 2 or 3 weeks. We would love to see her/he progress.

Well, I know the coloring looks alot like crele (creole). Hmm...don't know much else. But that really is a neat find, though.
