Cinder slept by a bush. She felt pains.
Storm stayed awake and watched the herd.
"Of course" Storm replied, a hint of sleepiness on his voice. He lay down and closed his eyes.Hans finally awoke. He yawned and got up. "Storm, how about you sleep? I'll watch over the herd, is that alright?" Hans said, he felt like he should no longer inforce rules, like order someone to do something, because that just made two leave, even though it's tradition.
"Of course" Storm replied, a hint of sleepiness on his voice. He lay down and closed his eyes.
Cinder lay awake. She stared up at the sky also, thinking about the past events. She wondered if she would ever tell her calf about Thistle and Amara. She knew her calf was coming really any day now. She anticipated the moment of a new life, a new attention in the herd, to take their minds off of the runaways. He nodded and stood outside, staring at the beautiful stars.
