Feather was a bit worried, but she knew she would be fine so she lay down and sighed

Susan felt relieved, the calf was perfectly alright. It was strong and healthy. She licked it clean and the calf tried to get up, but like any calf, failed multiple times.
It was a female. She was white with gray freckles all over her body and a gray nose. She already had horn stubs.

The calf panicked and bellowed, she stumbled over to her mom. Her mom chuckled, "She's still a little scared of new things." She said and giggled at the adorable, little calf. "Hans will be so pleased." Susan said.

"Soon she'll be strong and playful, and I think that's when Hans will consider finding better, safer land. A mountain is no place for calves." Susan said politely.

"Moving isn't so bad, it's hard work and no rest, but we should be resting more due to the calves, so you have it easy this time." Susan said and winked. The calf finally got on her feet. She shook but stood firmly.

Susan got up to let the calf drink, the calf chugged down milk and tugged, which made Susan's udder hurt but it was part of being a mother buffalo.
