Jay lay down under the clouds and rest his eyes.Eliza sighed contently and looked up at the sky. It was obviously about to storm, which she liked. Storms calmed her, if they weren't dangerous.
Thistle smiled. "Glad you're back, Amara. We've missed you around here." He exclaimed.

Jade and Gavin, her calf, were away fron the herd for a moment chewing on the grasses near the lake when Jade heard a movement about 50 feet away. Startled, she backed up from the pond and dashed away, but remembered Gavin was with her. She raced back to him and saw the predator, or should i say predators. There were five lionesses who looked starved, ready to pounce on anything that came their way. Jade hurried Gavin along, but Gavin couldn't keep up. Jade could have been farther by now, but the lionesses were upon them. One circled around while the other four filled in the gaps. Jade and her calf were surrounded. One lioness jumped toward Gavin and pushed him to the ground. Jade stood above her calf in defense. Two other lionesses managed to draw her away from her calf for a split second, but in that time the other three had pounced on Gavin, biting and clawing him apart. It was too late. Jade watched in horror as they devoured her calf. She stomped her hoof angrily then ran in fear that they would get her next. She made it back and hung her head, silently making her way to the bush that she always slept.
"Water hole... Lions.. He's.. he's dead." she responded.Joyau heard screams from a calf and rushed to the noise. She ran into Jade, "what happened?!" She asked worriedly.
