Hi, I live in the far east valley, near Phoenix, AZ. I am lucky enough to move into a place. Where some wild gambles still roam. I have been attracting them to my property by feeding the birds in the morning and evenings. Not only am I attracting the quail, but a ton of doves, sparrows, as well. I have been using Cockatiel seed mix and chicken scratch. The quail love it but so do the doves. Do the quail blocks work? Do the quail like them. I'm not sure what there made out of. They are like a 1'x1'x1' seed block. I'm not trying to catch the quail or anything. I just want them well feed so they breed and make more.

Finally I live somewhere where the feral cat population is low. Cats take out way to much native species. So any tips or tricks for attracting quail would be great too. Thanks

Hey I don't know the answer to your quesiton but I love the Gambel's Quail and have been to Arizona once and saw them. I think it was a park called the south mountain(s).

Your are lucky you have them on your property and can enjoy them.
