My husband was going to purchase guineas and didn't But bought a 50 pound bag of purina Wild Game medicated starter. When I run out of the purina medicated start/grow can I give the chicks the wild game starter? still medicated. I think the chicks will be in the 6-8 week range when I'm through this bag of start/grow.

Thanks for any advice here. I hate to waste 50 pounds of perfectly good feed but don't want to screw up the chicks either...

I have no idea Trixie, but any chance you could tell that to the feed store and they'd swap you out a bag of chick starter for it? Worth giving them a call maybe.

I sort of have a similar question. I have a couple of guinea's that I want to put in with my chicks that are on grower feed right now. I have to travel a couple hours to pick up game bird grower and was wondering if it was better to give the guinea's the chick grower or if I should put the chicks and the guinea's on game grower(would be a pain to drive and get it all the time) Looking forward to hearing the responses to your question. Sorry I'm of no help.

Gamebird starter is recommended for Serama chicks because of the small size granules. I'm giving it to them as well as 6 week old Cochins.
