Wild goose?

Their is a wild goose at out pond that its wing is chopped off, not the feathers, it's the wing. The rest of the geese have all ready migrated and she is left behind. What do I do? I have a pen I could put her in and raise her, but she won't get anywhere near me at the pond.

That's great that you want to help. You can try contacting wildlife officials. Or, you can just leave her be and maybe supply her with some food to get through the winter.

Is the wing bleeding or anything that might look infected? I've seen many birds survive for a long time with broken wings, especially waterfowl if they have a way to get away from predators by being in the water.
