Wild Guinea Fowl hanging around my barn and chickens?

Hello! I am just wondering if anyone knows about Wild Guinea fowl? I just recently moved into a old farmhouse and we have chickens and horses. There has been 1 guinea hen sitting in the rafter watching the chickens in the barn. She doesn't seem to be bothered with me, as she doesn't run away when I get close. She has been hanging around for about 3 weeks now and its only her. Is she hanging around because my chickens are there and she wants company or is there a possibility that she wants to eat them? The chickens don't seem to be bothered with her but she does like to be on the ground with them in addition to watching them from above.

Guinea fowl don't eat chickens She probably escaped or wandered away from where she was kept previously and has been happy to find company and a source of food. They're really great tick eaters and good watch birds - they alert very loudly if they see a predator.

If possible, she would be happiest if you can get more guineas to keep her company, or give her to someone who already has some if you don't want any more.

Lets say it was a domestic guinea, who get lost to the flock or had wandered by herself.Wild helmeted guineafowl are found only in Africa, they are the origin of domesticated guinea we breed. the wild guinea would not came to your farmyard like domestic s.They mainly freerange further from humans.

The guinea in your area might have been lost to someone's flock. guineahens are much nicer that cocks if you want to keep her
