Sundance tossed her head, causing Windstar to shy sides out of the way. Approaching Diablo, Sundance kept her head down; behind her, her tail swished uncertainly. Windstar had yet to move again.

Diablo stopped when he was close to her. Silently, he reached out to touch muzzles with the new mare.

Sundance allowed their muzzles to touch briefly before she gave an uncertain squeal and backed away. She was nervous from being away from a herd, but it appeared Diablo and his mares were no threat.

After Sundance had moved, Windstar approached the stud, making odd little nickers the entire time. Of the twins, she was the slower one.
