When morning came, Windstar was first of the twins to wake. Climbing to her feet, she shook herself then gave a loud whinny. It was customary for Sundance to wake first, but today, she hadn't.

"Sundance?" Windstar walked toward her sister then veered off. Diablo was curled up beside the dark dun. Windstar decided to just keep calling to her sister. "Sundance!?"

Diablo cracked open an eye. "Morning, Windstar." He whispered.

Diablo cracked open an eye. "Morning, Windstar." He whispered.

Windstar stopped her loud neighing when she heard Diablo. It was obvious, Sundance wasn't going to wake up immediately.

"Did you have a long night with her?" Windstar approached and nipped Sundance's neck.

Finally, the darker twin lifted her head, her eyes open. Quickly, she stumbled to her feet, ready to run. Spotting Diablo, she remembered where she was and relaxed.
