Windstar had managed to get back to her feet. She gave a panicked neigh and bolted, only trotting fast as her labor had her hindered. Something wasn't working; no position she went into seemed to help deliver this foal.
Zachorzy watched the mare and filly momentarily then turned away. His chances at mating were nil until Eliza did something else about Dezi.
"Lay down!" Winona yelped, still amazed at how ignorant one horse could be.

"I was laying down!" Windstar yelled back. Splashing through a stream, she slowed as she climbed the accompanying hill. At last, the dun stopped, once again stretching out.
Zachorzy heard Eliza's whinny and galloped in her direction. If she'd shaken her foal, maybe he could finish his courting.
"Now hat we're alone... Finish what you want."
Zachorzy didn't hurry; he was expecting Eliza's filly to show up any minute. She seemed to be good at that. Approaching the mare, he ran his muzzle along her neck, nibbling playfully at her mane.
