Moon flared his nostrils as he smelled the other horses.

Helio stopped and went into the oasis. he nickered to Monsoon to join him.

Aqua reared and whinnied in excitement. She hadn't seen a stallion in a week.

When Chocolate was finished she laid down to take a nap.
Moon awoke and yawned. He walked over to Lunar with his ears perked and his feet dragging the ground.
Lunar lifted her head from grazing. Moon and Lunar nuzzled each other and nickered.

Monsoon neared the water and lowered her head for a drink.

Orestes shook his head and drew his chin up to his neck. He made a point to step around Aqua in a wide circle then trotted a ways away, nickering playfully.

Cerulean's ears perked when she heard another stallion's whinny.

Helio went into the oasis. It was about 2 yards deep and it cooled him off.

Aqua smiled and whinnied again.

Moon pinned his ears back. "Lunar, Cerulean, Sapphire and Star. I'm gonna go and make sure them stallions aren't trying to invade my herd." with that he galloped off.

Devon tossed his head at Moon.
"You're only a mile away from my herd," Moon said and kicked Devon's jaw.

Typhoon stopped and stared at Helio. After a moment, she continued on her way. That was the beginning of her being nicer to the stallion...or rather, trying to.
Watching, Monsoon smiled inwardly.
