Cliff trotted in no particular direction. He was not a colt anymore. He was stronger,larger and more muscular than the little puny shell of himself. He left that behind. He had taken the responsibility of being an adult upon his shoulders and knew it was time to start a family. He scented a horse...a mare. He whinnied deeply and trotted in her direction.

Tornado ran after her newly chosen mate. "Wait!" she yelled.

Glaze had fallen asleep again. She awoke with a start,afraid at finding herself alone. "Wildfire!'' she whinnied and a tear slid down her face.

Lacey walked slowly. Her belly was huge. When she saw Orestes, she nickered to him.

Orestes stopped and turned his head. "I thought you'd taken Aqua's advice on not following me," he said.

Wildfire wasn't far enough away that he couldn't hear Glaze. He turned to face the direction he'd come and whinnied. "I'm just up ahead!"
