Moon whinnied again and nuzzled Cerulean and Chocolate.

Cerulean stepped toward Turquoise, nickering continuously. She nudged the seemingly lifeless lump and waited. Nothing happened immediately, but then, the blue roan filly lifted her head, giving a feeble squeal.

Turquoise stared up at Moon for a moment then pulled her hing legs under her. Spreading her front legs, she struggled to her feet and staggered forward. Blood loss had weakened her, and shock had nearly killed her. But, she'd survived.

Cerulean approached, nudging the foal gently.
