I am crazy worried........I have 3 wild rescued mallard eggs...1 egg has successfully hatched at 7am today......2nd egg made small external pip at 5pm yesterday - 6/24.......hole is now the size of a nickel. I can see the beak moving and breathing and a few faint chirps..but only a few.
It is doubtful that the 3rd egg will hatch..after candling I am uncertain if there is a duckling in there.
I have never incubated before but have raised ducks before.
I still have the 1st duckling in the incubator........my questions
Should I assist now?
Should I move the 1st duckling to brooding home now? or when? He rolls the other two around.
