Wild Mama and Ducklings (pics)

I forgot I had these pictures. This mama was walking down the street right in front of my house several years ago (before I even had ducks or thought about having them) My neighbors and I escorted her down to the park strip and out into a wooded area. She got tired and stopped several times to rest. She wouldn't take the water we offered her though.

Wow, that's a lot of ducklings! None of the mother ducks in my area were seen with that many ducklings. I think the most I've seen were 7. There's so many duckling/egg predators that many don't make it to their first swim. Most end up with only two or three if they're lucky.

My that is a beautiful duck. Gorgous. I think I might have excorted her to my back yard. Tempted to anyway.
