Wild Mushrooms

How do I know if the wild mushrooms are safe in my yard? I'm so afraid if my Hens eat one it will kill them or make them sick?

Can you post a picture? Of the shroom, where it's growing and, if possible, the underside of the cap.

Very few shrooms are so deadly that they'll kill you (or your chickens) but there are lots that will make you sick. I have found that for the most part the chickens leave shrooms alone.

Ok, I will next time. I destroy them when I see them. I was afraid they would kill the chickens. One was tall and skinny and the other one was huge like store bought size of a fist..
