So many people complain of sparrows getting into coops and stealing food or mice doing the same, why not just trap these pests and feed them whole or even just separate the meat from the skeleton.(more so in sparrows which they may sometimes be afraid of) Chickens are omnivores after all and will more than likely enjoy the protein boosts.
Opinions?

Is this still true if I they birds were not city birds? As people eat very undercooked wild duck, dove, squirrel and rabbits that they have hunted. Is this different for chickens?

City birds are no more clean or dirty than country birds. It's not about disease from the meat but disease on the animals. Avian flu is still a real threat my friend.
