Wild Pheasant

We watched a wild pheasant come into the back yard and be chased down by our chickens. They were just curious I think...but this pheasant flew up and back down into the bushes. My chickens reminded me of BIRD dogs with the way that pheasant flew up and over the bushes! I don't want them around the wild birds! Am I right in keeping them separate?

Yes, you should keep the chickens away from wild birds. They could get a host of things, like eye worm, from wild birds.
