Wild quail breed

I've been watching (and listening to) a family of quail move around my property today. This little guy got temporarily stuck in my fencing - luckily I spotted him and was able to get him free and he scampered back to the others. I know it's not the best picture, but can any of you experts tell the breed? I didn't get a picture of the parents but they have the plume on their heads. This chicken guy is suddenly thinking about raising quail too.
