I was walking around outside a little while ago and as I was looking at the lawn and stream and such I suddenly saw a little red spot.....wondering what it was I crouched down and low and behold, wild strawberries! And they're everywhere! I have eaten them before...and it seems that the wild bunnies have been eating them...so I can't imagine that they would be harmful to the chicks/ducklings...but thought I'd check to make sure before giving them this tasty treat! Please let me know!

Someone wrote this exact thread before and everyone said it was fine, except you shouldn't waste strawberries on the chickens and eat them yourself lol.

I researched wild strawberries a couple weeks ago after finding some on my property line. According to what I read online, there is nothing poisonous that resembles a strawberry, so all should be fine

The ones I found, however, are only fit for chickens, because they're the type that are flavorless and taste like cardboard

They're all over out there....not worried about finding a few for myself!

The chicks took a little while to figure out they were edible...but they seem to like them

My rats LOVE them....grabbed and ran...lol One of the mice did the same thing
