Wild Swedish Ducks...

Those are my exact concerns! She doesn't really seem to know what she's doing - everything she knows she learned from the geese last year. This is what we made:

They are so pretty, but you need windows covered in hardware cloth for good ventilation and a good door that can be locked up at night. and strips of wood to go across the ramp for footing,
That is so awesome they are already trying the ramp out. put your windows up high enough that in the winter they can be left open for continued air flow. I use pine shaving on my floor if you can find a piece of vinyl put that down first to keep wood from getting wet. and Peas lots of peas they love them, thaw them in microwave or just toss in their water container they will love you for them. To me it looks like you baby may turn out to be a boy. He looks just like my blue Swedish looked at that age. My blue Swedish keeps flying to a pond 2miles away to be with a Peking duck. I didn't think Swedish were suppose to fly that good. I can go right up to my duck and pick him up, I bring him home and he pigs out on the feed for a couple of days then leaves again.

Bring the Pekin home and your drake will stay home, the Pekin can't fly.

OP, could you grab the baby? Or listen for quacking? S/he looks big enough to voice sex. If very loud and obtrusive sounding quack, then girl, if quiet and raspy then boy.

I just got a wild Swedish crested duck.wild. From current owner. She partially blind.what does she need. And one male mallerd Swedish crested duck mix.there 3 years old.
