Wild turkeys hanging around our coop

We were out of town this weekend and SIL came over to care for our flock. He called to say there were several wild turkeys in our yard and even on top of our run. Other than the disease they carry are they any threat to our pullets? Were they just curious?

I don't think so....I have two turkey toms that I raised with my flock of chickens, and all is well......I think maybe they're just curious, or may have been attracted to your chicken's food.
