I've heard several people here mention wildlife cameras. I'm intrigued by the idea. Can y'all tell me more about them? Do you get them somewhere like Bass Pro shops, or where? How much do they cost?

Thanks for any info!

you can get at cabela's store or any hunting fishing store . Also they have at walmart in the hunting fishingh area. Although i try not to go there !!! wal mart , that is .
we had one to watch a game feeder in our farm , a bear was getting into it !

BTW, bass pro does have them, too.
they can be expensive depending on the name brand you buy, ie bushnell and the opotions u get with them.but a wal mart they are in the price range of 100.00 to 150.00 and up for the cheaper brands.

Alex got two Moultrie Game-Cams from Cabela's (online), for $99 each (not at the same time). But he says that for the best price, to shop Cabela's to pick out what you want, then go to EBay and find retailers who buy in bulk and offer the cameras for lower prices.

Alex bought them for his hunting spots, to track the patterns of deer and turkeys that he would later be stalking. I'm glad he thought to use them around here when we got poultry!

Here's a sampling of what has showed up on our cams around the house:

Great info, guys, thanks! I am dying to find out what visits my new property. I may have to get a few of these!

If you shop at a store, then you probably should purchase the item there, also.

The shop is paying salespeople an hourly wage, paying for electricity, taxes, etc etc etc. With so many people using stores to inspect products, and then purchasing at ebay or a cheaper retailer, we will have few and far between shops in our towns.
With a population of 140,000+, we've noticed that we have a couple of photography stores here now; most have gone under because of the big box stores. The same with book stores.... and we've had three quilt stores close their doors!

These local shops hire local people, and pay taxes that go into city coffers.

So please, shop the local places in town and support your community.
