Wiley and the nebulizer

Well my 2 year old started his treatments today! He has been sick and started weezing. Wiley was born premature at 2lbs 7ozs.So weezing scares us....

we told him it was darth vaders mask and he put it on! Did the whole 8 minutes while brother brody held his hand

I wish I could pull up the pictures of my youngest to share. Might make him feel less anxious to see other kids with the same thing on. Mine started treatments when he was about 11mos (after his first hospitalization for pneumonia). He had to have treatments four times a day for almost two years and then still very often for several years after that. He is now 7 and hasn't been hospitalized for over 1.5yrs. I hope your son improves with age as mine has!

thanks a bunch! it's kinda scary and all! We did another treatment and he slept for hours after it. Gonna call doctor about it. He was really tired and didn't sleep well the night before.

Mine started treatments at about 2 also; but is not on a daily treatment. His came after being hospitalized 24 to try to control his breathing. We started with daily treatments and now its just as needed. He's almost 8 now. It doesn't take very long for the kiddos to figure out that this helps them. My guy would tell us he needed to be nebbed, and he was always right. Once your son figures it out, he'll be much happier about being treated. We told my son he looked like a dragon, and that made him happy too.

he is getting better and we use as needed which seems to be morning and night. Poor buddy! He passes out after it!

Yeah, they stuggle so much to breathe that they are completely tired out. Once they can breathe they crash. My little guy, when he was two, was nebbed 12 times in as many hours, with alternating medications. He was so tired and strung out from the meds all he did was whimper/sleep/wiggle, whimper/sleep/wiggle because he was too wired to just sleep.

It will probably get better. Sam seems to be outgrowing his, with the help of a daily medication. Hopefully, your son will be the same.
