will a 9yo dog be willing to change food?***update***

I work for a pet food company. We recommend switching like this.

Days 1 & 2 - 75% old food mixed w/ 25% new food
Days 3 & 4 - 50/50 old and new foods
Days 5 & 6 - 25% old food, 75% new food
Day 7 - 100% new food

Roxi came home with us on Friday. I started right away to mix the food 1/2 and 1/2. Today (Monday), dh gave her some more food, and didn't mix it. She loved it! she ate the "good" food better than the old stuff. The old stuff, she would take 1 piece, run under the dining room table, eat it, and come back for another piece. This she just stands at the bowl and eats like a "normal" dog LOL

I did get the food for small breeds-- it's about 1/4 of the size of what she was eating (which was also for small breeds, but she is TINY-- maybe 2 lbs) they are both happy with it. I think we have a new container of the old stuff that MIL sent with her-- I'll take that to the store and get a refund!
