I have a broody silkie hatching 6 eggs, they should be pipping by at least today. Will she help them hatch? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Possibly, but almost certainly not. Some people say she'll help peck the hole bigger, but odds are she's actually using her beak to explore what's happening instead

How'd it go? I find that usually broody hatch doesn't have the issues you get from an incubator hatch at least not in the same quantity. The hen will also decide that the chick won't be strong enough to survive if it can't hatch by itself.
