will a broody hen......

ive never tryed it but i know broody hens will sit on other hens eggs fore them. like a babysitter so i woudent be suprized if a broody hen trys to hatch a duck

A broody hen will hatch anything you put under her. I have some hatch out quail and pheasant eggs every year, the only thing about them hatching out "wild game" is that the chick quail and pheasant dont want to stay with the hen, they want to run and they get lost. When I have a chicken hen hatch out game birds, I put them in a pen where the chicks cant get away from her or get out of, they will still follow her and get under her when cold, but they will wonder off and not come back.
