will a duckling eat....

a little goldfish...my dh would like to get some goldfish to put in the kiddie pool that our little ducklings use as a swimming pool...he thinks they will eat them and it would be fun to watch them chase it

so...should a duckling eat a fish?....thnx for the info

yes i did this with mine, they go crazy for them. They eat them up too fast though. I like to give them crickets, they go crazy for those too and will eat them out of my hand or chase them as they hop around. It's fun to watch and it takes them longer then catching the fish. Make sure you don't get fish that are too big so they don't choke! Littler is better anyway--harder for them to snatch up right away.
