Could you show picture of actual bird going after chickens? Red-necked falcon appears much too small to get anything bigger than a hatchling chicken.

he got mine when she was 2 weeks old

Sorry you lost your chick..

Hopefully you wont lose any more, but with a nearby nest
with chicks to feed & since one was already taken, you may need
to set up a protected pen until they get bigger.

You may be correct on ID of killer. Still your juvenile chickens should be near maximum size such a predator can take. If I were in your shoes, an adult rooster would be acquired or even have a village dog nearby assuming such can be trusted with chickens. Otherswise pen chickens up until they double in size.

What does your place where chickens are kept look like?

Do you have access to fighting roosters?

What will your chickens look like when they are grown? I am interested since India is a place where many kinds of chickens where developed over thousands of years. Chickens we have in western part of world are largely a mix of European and east Asian chickens and may look very different.
