Will a guinea hatch chicken eggs?

I know you can set guinea eggs under a chicken but can a guinea
hatch chicken eggs. I have been waiting for my chickens to go broody. My 4 guineas lay in a nest that the chickens use.
(I got 4 of each out of the nest yesterday). One of the guineas stayed on the nest all evening and was still there this morning.
If I can set the guinea with chicken eggs, I will raise them in a brooder since guineas are not supposed to be good mothers.
Thanks for any info you can give me. I don't want to waste the eggs.

Another question: I don't know anything about incubators.
I have been looking around. What is the best small one (50 eggs or less). Fan-No fan? I know I will need the egg turner.

I don't see why not. one of our guieeas hatched out a duck egg. Completely caught us by surprise to open the coop last weekend & see that. Good luck.

Anythings possible. My mallard hen hatched a turkey poult. lol

I've read a number of places that Guineas are not the best mothers and they always cite that a guinea hen will take her keets across wet grass. Keets are very susceptable to getting respiratory problems from getting damp and they die. Guinea mommas lose a lot of their babies.

This is only from what I have read about them. I do not have any guineas.

Guineas don't parent the same way chickens do. Chickens parent as individual hens. Guineas parent as a group. Observing my own, they need at least 3 (more is better) in a group to successfully raise keets. Males help with the task. Groups of guineas will stay with a clutch of keets, taking turns keeping them warm, and helping them find food. When one attempts to allow a single guinea hen, or a single pair of guineas, raise keets, they nearly always lose them. It's not the way they're programmed to operate.

If there are both chicken and guinea eggs in the nest being brooded by the guinea hen, remember chicks hatch in 21 days, keets take 28. You'll have to be alert to remove the chicks as they hatch.

Thanks for the info. The guinea can't decide if she is going to set. I will wait and see. I have 10 and while she (or one of the other females) is on the nest, 1 or 2 of the males are always around.
