Will a hawk attack a brown leghorn and a australorp

If you flock is little more than a few small birds, then confinement of birds in hawk proof run or coop is my recommendation. Coopers do not stop by everyday but they can put a dent in your flock size.

Could you show a picture of your birds and setup?

We have a pair of cooper hawks living across the street. They fly over my flock constantly. I had to put my flock away today due to it hunting over them. The coopers hawk here perches in a tree and does not circle like a red tail.

I do see them daily. Along with several other species. We have a hawk haven here.

Cooper's Hawks are VERY sneaky. I never see them around but I have lost a couple random chicks this year and both times I got out quick enough, I saw the Cooper's Hawk with it's small body and long, striped tail flying away. I was lucky enough to save a bantam pullet a few weeks ago, it was flying off with her and my dog went after the commotion and it dropped her right by the fence, she is fine but was very shaken up. Lock your birds up if they are hunting them.

wil i have only two

Then yes, at that age and size, several hawk species will indeed be interested in your chicks and will be able to kill them. Your best course of action is to protect them from all predators, especially for now. They are still quite young.

I can not scare the hawks! I've even taken a hose and squirted them with water and they come immediately back. I got a coopers hawk 3 times in a row with water before I gave up. It was after a bluejays nest.

i try to scare them when they don't rememeber so they will always know that there animal around then so do u think that will help
Unless you have an animal that will actually go after hawk, you will not be able to count on Coopers avoiding area. Those hawks will chase birds into your house, almost fly between college students legs to get at birds on ground, and they even associate with white-tailed deer so as to be able to sneak up on otherwise alert small birds and rodents like chipmunks. They routinely come into sheep and goat barn at work to chase sparrows even when we and animals are present.

Not very much, for some species. Can you keep them in a safe enclosure until they are full sized, at least? A fenced area with netting on top will do, for hawks (just be aware that the chicks are "snacks" for many other predators as well).
