A muscovy drake can get to 7kg, the same weight as a red fox. Would a fully grown drake fight off a red fox? Would a fully grown drake be able to be housed outside the coop at night?

The only real protection that domestic, non-flying ducks have is you and the defenses that you've put in place. A secure coop/house. Fencing. Hardware cloth. Poultry netting (for birds of prey). In the real world Tom the cat eats Jerry the Mouse. And Nick Wilde will eat Donald Duck.

Predators are predators and prey animals are prey animals for a reason.
