I just got a pair of muscovies. I have them both in the same pen. She laid an egg and then when i got home from work the egg was gone. I searched and it was no where to be found. She laid another one last night so i put a next box in there and some extra bedding. The pen is secure and inclosed nothing can get in or out except me.

I have never heard of a muscovy eating eggs but they are world class egg hiders! It is interesting to watch how well they can move eggs.

They absolutely will if it gets broken and there are those ducks that, like any other bird, will do so if they learn that they can break them & get a tasty treat. That could potentially be the reason that someone got rid of her. Also, don't discount other predators unless they're in a predator proof pen. Anything from a rat to a raccoon on will eat eggs if given the opportunity.
