Another question.

Does a muscovy hen tend to go broody on her eggs even if she has not mated with 'anyone'?

I am aware that not all scovies are great broodies--but alot are. So that's my query.

tx!

Sure will! we used to have about 100 laying muscovy ducks that never even saw a drake unless we wanted to breed her. Many ducks would go broodly even with no eggs in their nest.

thank you, goose..........!!

Good to know. I am hoping to use a broody (I'm bound to get ONE out of ten!!) to set on several K. Campbell eggs this coming year. We want more Campbell hens..........

And WOOOOOOOOOW! 100 scovy hens. You shouldn't have said that. Knowing how much experience you have makes you liable to pesty little question from someone like me!
