So glad I found this post!! I know I'm Necro posting but I really needed this info!!
We have been thinking our doe Amy is bout ready to kid here really soon. But thinkin she probably only has one in there. She's a mini Nubian.
However turns out she's a hussy , she was doin that 2 weeks ago. And now this morning our buck Peaches has been hollering trying to get to her. My husband had to fix the fence between them because Peaches done tore up part of it tryin to get to her to mate. We were wondering if maybe she was having a false pregnancy
But seeing now that they can put off a scent near kidding that is like they are in heat makes me feel better!! Hoping she has her kid(s) soon. So hoping for more than one.... Would love for her to have more than one each time....

A goat that is pregnant will not accept the buck, but some bucks will try anyway. Just a comment. It is a good idea to keep the bucks away from the does that are kidding. Bucks will sometimes try to breed does that have just given birth. The does don't need this hassle at this time.
